Synopsis : Knight and Day follows the adventures of Roy Miller (Tom Cruise) - whose real surname is Knight - and June Havens (Cameron Diaz). After literally bumping into Miller twice at the airport on the way home from Wichita to pick up car parts, Havens is told she has been bumped to a later flight.
Meanwhile, Agent Fitzgerald (Peter Saarsgard), believing Havens is working with Miller, puts her back on the plane. Completely taken with Miller, Havens goes to the restroom; and the remaining passengers all attack Miller.

Miller kills them all and props the bodies up in their seats. Havens emerges from the restroom, where she has been freshening up in the hopes of a sexual encounter with Miller. Having heard nothing, she is totally unaware of the attack on him. After a forward moment where Havens kisses Miller, he calmly informs her that everyone on the plane is dead, including the pilots. Believing it a joke, Havens plays along until Miller enters the cockpit and the bodies of the passengers begin to shift around the plane.

Crashing into a corn field, Miller delivers Havens home after drugging her and explaining that other agents will visit and that, if they constantly repeat that she is being taken somewhere "safe and secure", they are planning to kill or imprison her.

Paul the Octopus held on suspicion of match-fixing

Paris: Early morning today, the German police have arrested Paul the Octopus on suspicion of match fixing. The arrest was made after a complaint by Fédération Internationale de Football Association's (FIFA) anti-corruption bureau. The octopus is currently causing a stir because of its correct predictions of the winner of the games that involved Germany in the World Cup. The famous octopus is suspected of being involved with the underworld, although his methods is not at all understandable.

One piece each of mussel was kept in two different plastic boxes before each match. The boxes were attached with flags of the two countries, one being of Germany and another being of its opponent. And the box selected by the hungry octopus is assumed to be the predicted winner. It is still unknown who started the practice, and why that person does not use the octopus to know the results of all football matches played on earth. The octopus has been successful every time except once in 2008 Euro Final, when, according to investigating sleuths, a female octopus was kept in the box with the German flag, so he chose to sit there instead of the one with food. Spain won.

At first, it was widely believed that it was luck and a coincidence that Paul’s predictions came true. But when Germany beat tournament favourites England, there were murmurs in the English camp that something was not right. President of FIFA, Joseph S. Blatter ordered an immediate and thorough enquiry on complaints received by the England football team management. Now after the semi-final where Germany lost, German fans are also starting to feel the air of match fixing.

The authority of the aquarium where the octopus lives happily, enjoying the fact that he gets more attention than Ronaldo and Messi, has rubbished such claims. "Take him to India and make him an astrologer, or to Vatican and make him a priest, and you will say he is involved in a sex scandal. We are from the country of Einstein, and we must realise that science hasn't yet advanced so much that octopuses do underworld and sex scams," said museum.

After proper investigations and the proof obtained from yesterday’s match of Germany against Spain, the view that Paul is involved in match fixing was strengthened beyond doubt. As per the latest press statement, FIFA has handed Paul to its Anti Corruption department and they are investigating further in this issue. A full and final report by the intelligence agency is expected by next week.

Reluctantly inquiring with the sperm bank, Joni leaves her number so the office can pass it along to Laser's father. Enthusiastic at the thought of meeting his long lost offspring, Paul (Mark Ruffalo) musters the courage to reach out, and the family tree grows a new branch.

USA worried since its cheerleaders could lose jobs if IPL gets banned

Washington D.C.: The future of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and its commissioner Lalit Modi is in danger, and this is now sending jitters to the USA. If IPL closes shop, it is likely that USA will suffer a lot, since American cheerleaders working in it will lose jobs. Modi is said to have been let off in criminal cases in the USA earlier on the condition that he got Americans jobs later on.

Amidst the global recession and rising unemployment rate, the possibility of IPL's end has shocked the American economy. The New York Stock Exchange fell down 300 points reacting to this news. President Barack Obama has himself expressed deep concern and said, "This could jeopardize the future of hundreds of school- and college-girls who never dreamt of earning a decent living. Instead, they chose to go to India and show their dance moves. Today they are the only source of income to our country." Sensing the gravity of the issue, Obama further said, "This is not acceptable that our women are losing jobs because there are allegations of betting on IPL."

Political pundits predict this development could endanger the outsourcing business and could aggravate the anti-Indian sentiments among the Americans. "It can also put brakes on the Nuclear Deal which is very dear to India," said one.

Infosys founder N R Narayan Murthy has also sensed the side-effects and requested the government to let the IPL be the way it is. "We need to improve the image of India - we are the job givers, not job takers," he said. Obama has assured the public, however, that steps will be taken by the government to ensure that IPL should continue and provide job avenues for American women. "Despite everything, we are still the lions and the Indians timid mice. We will manage it," assured Obama.

IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi, without leaving the opportunity to gain some praise, tweeted that the whole idea of IPL was to provide young talented unemployed American women a way to earn decent living and a decent boyfriend (he himself). This tweet was made through Modi's account only, which was supposedly hacked earlier. "I want to help the downtrodden Americans... I spoiled so many of them when I was a student there, and they all honour me," tweeted Modi.
